어느날, 이언은 쓰레기통을 뒤지는 외로운 아기펭귄을 만나게 되고, “폴”이란 이름을 지어주며 둘은 친구가 됩니다.
눈폭풍이 거세던 남극의 어느 날, 왠일인지 폴은 말없이 서둘러 기지를 떠납니다.
폴에게 무슨일이 있었던 것일까요?
Bubble, bubble, bubble... Knock, knock, knock... Ian is the only cook of the Antarctic base.
One day, he meets a lonely baby penguin who is looking through a garbage can. Ian names him “Paul” and they make friends.
On a stormy day of the Antarctic, Paul leaves the base without a word in a hurry, for some reason.
What happen to Paul?

It’s a white world all around. This is the Antarctic station.
Everybody looks a little busy.
온통 하얀세상. 여기는 남극 기지 입니다.
모두들 조금 바빠 보이네요.
Ian gave out some food for the baby chick,
since he felt bad that it was looking through the waste.
이언은 쓰레기통을 뒤지는 아기펭귄이 안쓰러워,
음식을 나누어 주었어요..
Ian and his friends headed over to the station riding a sled.
They all took steps little by little...
so that the eggs won’t be hurt.
이언과 친구들은 썰매를 타고 폴과 함께 기지로 향했어요.
알이 다치지 않도록, 모두 한 발씩 천천히 천천히...
Finally, Ian and his friends came back to the station.
All the friends and all the crew moved the eggs inside together.
마침내, 이언과 친구들은 기지에 도착했어요.
대원들도 모두 함께, 알을 기지 안으로 옮겼어요.
With Paul, Ian also made nests with flour and kept
the eggs warm.
이언도 폴과 함께 밀가루로 둥지를 만들고
알을 따뜻하게 해 주었어요.
